In spite of its name, Fat Yak, contains absolutely no yak and, like most beer, is extremely low in fat. This beer became the ‘drink du jour’ on our first expedition to the Ashes in Brisbane, way back in 2011 ….. when England were capable of drawing a test match with honour. It’s a good job they don’t play cricket at Sydney, Kingsford Smith Airport , ‘cos at $8.70 a bottle I would have had to have re-mortgaged.
Worth the expense, this is a beautifully balanced beer, tangerine and peaches with a quietly bitter finish. Another sure-fire winner from Matilda Bay.
Um, here’s the Coasters?
